Your keeper has to be locked in before kickoff on Thursday. To do that, click the 'keepers' tab on the top of your clubhouse, then check who you want to keep and submit.

No, it means you have that player for as long as you are in the league and then next year we make one left draft pick. Then you designate another keeper next season and would have those two players two seasons from now, ect.
